Under the Umbrella Tree

Under the Umbrella Tree is actually a children's television show created by Noreen Young that aired from 1986--1993. The show was produced by CBC and Noreen Young Productions, and afterwards by The Disney Channel. The show centers around a group of characters that talk about a home. The figures contain Holly Jacob, and Gloria. The show's name is derived from the simple fact that the characters live in a home comprising a prominent umbrella shrub. Syndication continued until 1996 on The Disney Channel, also on YTV and Canal Famille, After production of the show ended in 1993. Twenty-seven episodes of the show were published to DVD from Cinerio Entertainment in partnership with Noreen Young at 2006.
