The Zoo Gang

The Zoo Gang has been a 1974 ITC Entertainment play show that ran for six colour episodes that are one-hour, on the basis of the 1971 publication of the same name by Paul Gallico. Six resistance fighters, also known with their own code titles that were animal-based, fought during World War II. Their efforts came to an end after one of the number,"the Wolf", murdered them into the Gestapo. In their interrogation, certainly one of the number, the husband of Manouche, Claude Roget was shot before her eyes. Thomas Devon spots the Wolf in his shop. The Zoo Gang's members shed what they are doing and rendezvous for vengeance. The show follows the adventures of this remaining gang of four resistance fighters reunited 30 decades after to criminals and scam habitual con artists in order to take their money and use it. Despite their agesthey put their abilities and experience to use to raise enough funds to create a hospital in Claude's memory. The gang is aided by Manouche and Claude's son, an inspector in the French authorities. The series is set in the French Riviera in Nice. Guest celebrities contained Jacqueline Pearce, Peter Cushing, Philip Madoc, along with Doctor Who villain Roger Delgado.
