The Wonderful Adventures of Nils

The Great Adventures of Nils is an anime adaptation of This Publication The Amazing Adventures of Nils by the Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf. The 52 episode show conducted on the Japanese network NHK from January 1980 to March 1981. The show was the first production by Studio Pierrot. The anime has been mostly authentic to the original, aside from the appearance of Nils' pet , and also the role enabled to the fox Smirre. The music was written by composer Karel Svoboda. The anime has been broadcast broadcast in Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Iceland Belgium, Greece, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, at the Arab World, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Israel, Turkey, Italy, Hong Kong, Mainland China, South Africa, along with Albania, but in some states it was cut to allow for advertisements. Back in Germany, the animated series episodes were combined in to one feature animated movie in 1981. The identical release released and has been dubbed in Estonia on VHS and DVD.
