The People's Court
The People's Court can be a American reality court show currently presided over by Florida State Circuit Court Judge Marilyn Milian. Milian, the longest-reigning arbiter of the show, handles small claims disputes at a simulated court set.
The People's Court may be the very first court show to use mediation, introducing the structure. Most of the successors of the show have duplicated the system in the judicial genre. In addition, the People's Court may be the very first long-running reality in the judicial history. It was preceded only by some realities that were short-lived in the genre. These shortlived predecessors were only loosely related to judicial proceeding, with the exception of just starters: Parole took footage holding legal proceeding. Prior to The People's Court, the vast majority of television court shows utilized recreated or literary instances, and celebrities. The People's Court has had two lives that are overlapping. The very first life of the show has been presided over by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Joseph Wapner. His tenure lasted until May 21, 1993, by the series's debut on September 14, 1981, once the show was cancelled due to low ratings. This left the show with a total of 2,484 1/2-hour episodes and 1-2 seasons. The show was recorded during its very first life in Los Angeles. Once getting cancelled, re runs surfaced until September 9, 1994.
