The Man from Snowy River

The Man from Snowy River is a Australian television Show based on Banjo Paterson's poem"The Man from Snowy River". Published in Australia since Banjo Paterson's The Man from Snowy River, the series was released as Snowy River: The McGregor Saga in the United States and the United Kingdom. The television series doesn't have any relationship to the 1982 film The Man from Snowy River or the 1988 movie The Man from Snowy River II. The series follows the adventures of Matt McGregor, a squatter that is successful, and his own loved ones. Matt is the hero filmed in Banjo Paterson's poem"The Man from Snowy River", and the series has been set 25 years after his ride. The first season was a soap opera with several story arcs, however, the one concerns the coming of Matt nephew, who is bent on revenge, certain Matt cheated his dad out of the channel Matt possesses. Within a few episodes, there have been shorter story arcs including guest celebrities in succeeding seasons, along with a few episodes stood entirely on their own.
