The Jay Leno Show

The Jay Leno Show is a classical comedy series created by starring Jay Leno, that beamed in 10 p.m. from September 14, 2009 to February 9, 2010 on NBC, after Leno's initial retirement in hosting The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Back in January 2010, NBC announced that because of affiliate concerns about its effect on the newscasts, The Jay Leno Show could be shortened to 30 minutes and transferred out of prime time to 11:35 p.m., the timeslot that had been inhabited from The Tonight Show for almost 60 years. The Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien released a public statement saying he wouldn't participate in moving to night to 12:05 a.m., claiming it would hurt the highly respected company. Despite substantially support for O'Brien from media professionals and the public equally NBC maintained its intend to maneuver Leno. As a way to get rid of his contract with O'Brien, a $45 million settlement was reached by NBC on January 21, 2010. Leno declared his duties as host of Tonight on March 1, 2010. Leno ended on February 9, 2010 later being on the atmosphere for only four months, even with Entertainment Weekly calling this program television's"Largest Heard of All Time."
