The Flip Wilson Show

The Flip Wilson Show is one hour variety show that aired in the U.S. on NBC in September 17, 1970 on June 27, 1974. The show starred American comedian Flip Wilson. The app was one of the very first television programs starring a black person in the title role to become tremendously successful with a crowd. It was the first network number series starring an African American American. During its first two weeks, it was made the second show of that the nation by its Nielsen evaluations. The show consisted of many skits within one hour. Additionally, it broke new ground with the crowd by using a' Theatre-in-the-Round' stage format, from American television. Wilson was most famous for producing the use of Geraldine Jones. Switch created the role of Reverend Leroy, who was the minister of this Church of What is Happening Now! . Because it had been theorized that Reverend Leroy was a con artist, new parishioners were wary of coming into the church. Wilson popularized such catchphrases as"Everything you see is exactly what you get", and"The devil made me do it" .
