The First Churchills

The First Churchills was a BBC Sequential from 1969 about the life of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and his wife, Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough. It starred John Neville because the duchess While the duke and Susan Hampshire, was composed and created by Donald Wilson, and was led by David Giles. The serial presents the lifestyles of John and Sarah Churchill from their meeting 1673 until a time shortly prior to the duke's death in 1722, and illustrates, a lot of the context of contemporary politics, along the way. It was made together with sound studio sets, on a minimal budget, and also generally avoided crowd and battle scenes due to inability to stage them in a persuasive manner. The series is loosely predicated upon the Marlboroughs' descendant Winston Churchill's life the Duke, and a very favourable portrait of the Marlboroughs. The final credits theme is the second piece, a Rondeau, of Henry Purcell music, written of 1695 or The Moor's Revenge. It's also notable as being the first app shown on PBSmaster piece series in the United States.
