Shelley
Shelley is a British sitcom broadcast to 1-2 January 1984 and originally made by Thames Television and out of 11 October 1988 to 1 September 1992. Starred Hywel Bennett as James Shelley 28 yrs of age and also a sardonic, perpetually'freelance layabout' with a degree. In the initial run, Belinda Sinclair and Shelley's girlfriend Fran played, also Josephine Tewson looked regularly Edna Hawkins, because his Landlady. The show was created. The broadcasts for episodes were by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, Colin Bostock-Smith, David Frith, Bernard McKenna and Barry Pilton. Anthony Parker produced and directed all 71 episodes.
Series seven has been broadcast in 1988, also has been titled on screen The yield of Shelley. Now round and resides on his own, doing his best to avoid obtaining gainful employment. The show begins with Shelley returning to the UK out of Saudi Arabia, where he'd taught English for a few years, only to find his calls to his old friends are now screened by answer phones and yuppieness has had root in his old neighbourhood. The three series returned to Shelley's title.
