Sai de Baixo

Sai de Baixo is just a sit-com that first aired on Rede Globo. It followed the lives of their members of the apartment building's doorman , their maid and a family from which they lived. It ran for seven seasons on Sunday nights. That means that it always aired after 10 o'clock p.m., that has been necessary given the show's heavy language and sexual innuendos. Back in 2000, however, the premiere of a brand new reality series shifted the program into the 11:30 playoff slotmachine, which lasted for about four months. Then the timeslot varied monthly, that started to hurt ratings. Previously, the series was broadcasting about 12:30 a.m., which is regarded as the start of the"waste land" of night time programming in Native tv, together with fewer audiences and, for that reason, fewer patrons. The series had been hailed as a"breath of fresh air" in Brazilian television comedy, given its own innovative format and funny, smart stories. It had been considered the"lifeline" of all Sunday night programming within Brazilian network television. This status did not survive until the very ending though. The series has been allegedly retained on the atmosphere because Globo TV had nothing, also is deemed to have jumped the shark around its 5th season. Towards the ending, ratings had plummeted and the series had slipped to the thing that was predicted a"vulgar version" of its initial, radical style.
