Return to Lonesome Dove
Return to Lonesome Dove, Compiled by John Wilder, Can Be a TV miniseries Between characters created in Larry McMurtry's Pulitzer Prize Winning western Lonesome Dove. The story focuses on his adventures and a Texas Ranger driving mustangs out of Texas. It's a sequel to the Dove, but wasn't compiled by McMurtry, who wrote and published their or her own sequel novel Streets of Laredo at precisely the same period frame.
It had been nominated for an Emmy Award, also Accompanied closely by 2 TV show, Lonesome Dove: The Series and Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years. Neither series lasted.
McMurtry followed Streets of Laredo using two prequels, which in to TV miniseries were subsequently made with Laredo. Many fans of the Lonesome Dove series of novels do not consider go back to Lonesome Dove or both the 2 derivative TV string to be canonical because of their divergence by the victory of the original miniseries from McMurtry's storyline, and also the apparent motivation of its production.
