The People's Choice Awards is a American awards show understanding the usage of culture and the people. The show can be voted on by the public and has been held yearly since 1975. Procter & Gamble and Survivor producer Mark Burnett Awards air and produces the People's Choice. In Canada, it airs on Global. Bob Stivers, the award show's founder, produced the show . The awards known Barbra Streisand as the Favorite Film Actress of the year that the Sting as the Favorite Picture of 1974, and John Wayne because its Beloved Film-actor. Ratings for the Yearly event peaked in 1977, when Another People's Choice Awards attracted 35.3 million viewers who watched Farrah Fawcett-Majors win for Favorite Female TV Star, Starwars win because the Favourite Picture, and Streisand and Wayne win again at the Film Actress and TV groups. The show sponsor, procter & Gamble, bought the show from 1982 out of Stivers.
