Mr. Terrific

Mister Terrific is a American television sitcom that aired on CBS Television to May 8, 1967, in January 9. It starred Stephen Strimpell in the title role, and continued 17 episodes. The show was like NBC's Captain Nice, which followed Mister Terrific about Monday nights during its run. Riding the tide of the camp superhero craze of the 1960s, the premise of the show involved petrol station attendant Stanley Beamish, a scrawny youth that worked to fight crime for a government organization, The Bureau of Projects. He had to do would be take a"PowerPill" which gave him the effectiveness of a million men and enabled him to flymuch like super man, albeit by furious flapping while wearing the top 50% of a wingsuit. Regrettably, he had been the sole person on whom the pills worked. It had been established , even though he would be given advantage by the pill, he had been vulnerable to bullets. Furthermore, each PowerPill had a time limit of 1 houralthough he had two booster pills. Much of the show's humor revolved before he completed his assignment losing his super powers.
