Mr. Lucky
Mr. Lucky is really a CBS adventure/drama television show which aired from October 24, 1959, to June 18, 1960, together with repeats until September 3. Blake Edwards developed the program for a retooling of his own Willie Dante character from Four Star Playhouse, where studio boss Dick Powell played the job. In the 1960--1961 season, Howard Duff supposed the role of Willie Dante in the NBC adventure/drama show Dante. Mr. Edwards led and co-wrote the very first installment of Mr. Lucky, and the credits of the initial satellite episodes included"Entire production supervised by Blake Edwards." Jack Arnold produced the show and led of those episodes.
The smooth theme music for the show of henry Mancini reached Number 2-1 in the US singles charts. He introduced two powerful LP's based on the show, Mr. Lucky and also Mr. Lucky Goes Latin.
