Kong: The Animated Series

Kong: The Animated Series is an American television series for children that follows the creature of this 1933 film of the same name, King Kong. Kong aired on BKN at 2000, and first was created to compete using Godzilla: The Series. In May 2001, Fox Kids began airing reruns of the initial 13 episodes. Subsequently, Jetix began airing reruns on September 9, 2005, being a prelude to the release of Peter Jackson's King Kong. In addition, two direct-to-DVD movies dependent on the series were released: Kong: King of Atlantis at 2005 and also Kong: Return to the Jungle at 2007.
