Joe 90

Joe 90 is a 1960s British sciencefiction tv set following the adventures of a nine-year-old child, Joe McClaine, who starts a double life for a schoolboy-turned-spy when his scientist dad invents a tool capable of replicating and transferring expert information and experience in a human brain to another. Designed with all the abilities of their foremost academic and military minds, Joe is recruited by the World Intelligence Network and, becoming its"Most Special Agent", pursues the ideal of world peace and saving life. Filmed by Century 21 Productions and created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, the 30-episode series followed the Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. First broadcast in the united kingdom between September 1968 and April 1969 on the ATV system, Joe 90 was the first and sixth final of the Andersons' productions to be made exclusively employing the kind of marionette puppetry termed"Supermarionation". Their puppet series, The Secret Service, used this process just with extensive filming. As in the case of its antecedent, Joe 90's puppets, Captain Scarlet are of natural proportions instead of those personalities of Thunderbirds' caricatured design.
