Huckleberry Finn and His Friends Has Been a 1979 television Show Recording the exploits of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, based on the Books The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by American writer Mark Twain. The series has been a Canadian/German co production and was composed of 26 episodes. Huckleberry Finn is played by Ian Tracey who is also the narrator. Tom Sawyer is played by Sammy Snyders. Directed by Jack B. Hively and Ken Jubenvill, this mini-series was broadcast in several countries such as Germany, UK, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Venezuela and Several other Latin American nations. The series was re-shown many times throughout the 1980s to early 1990s and has grown somewhat of a cult following. Despite the fact that Mark Twain originally wrote the books The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as units, this mini-series frees up equally literary works as merely one narrative. It places importance on the character of Huckleberry without putting Tom Sawyer's aside. As a 4 DVD box, the series has been launched in 2007. It comprises many extras including a 1-2 page color booklet and also a 30 minute'making of' documentary featuring interviews with many stars of this show including Ian Tracey, Sammy Snyders, and Blu Mankuma.
