Hiyokko

Even the 17-year-old Yatabe Mineko grew up at a hill village in Ibaraki Prefecture in a family of seven. To be able to earn additional money, her dad Minoru has gone to work. If her daddy does not keep coming right back for the New Year, her entire life completely changes. Mineko asks her family to let her go to Tokyo to find him and promises to send money home. From the autumn of two youth friends, she and 1964 Tokiko and Mitsuo are hired to start working at a small mill in the workingclass neighbor hood of Tokyo. After work every day, Mineko searches for her daddy and has disheartened sometimes. Mineko defeats challenges and starts to lay down roots in Tokyo because she experiences many meetings and farewells with regulars. However, will she be able to get her daddy?
