Grandpa in My Pocket

Grandpa on Your Pocket is just a comedy drama series commissioned by Michael Carrington to get CBeebies, the BBC's dedicated nursery school and preschool station targeting kids aged 1 6 years. The programme stars Sam Ellis, Jay Ruckley, Josie Cable, Zara Ramm and James Bolam. The narrative centers on Grandpa, who owns a magic Shrinking Cap, which only his grandson Jason is aware of. This cap enables him to shrink to about 4 or 5 inches tall and experience magic experiences which are told by Jason, for example finding a hamster and bringing a homemade robot to life. When miniaturized, he has ability to make Jason's toy car and toy bi plane and toy railway locomotive work and then drive them. Jason features a toy glider made in the form of a seagull he calls Gordon of two pieces of timber. Grandpa, make it fly like a seagull that is real and when miniaturized, can ride on this. When miniaturized, Grandpa can jump much further in percentage than at full size, and can also"run for all he's worth", as Jason puts it. Grandpa isn't identified onscreen using a suitable name, so we never learn whether he is Mr. Mason or even Mrs. Mason's daddy -- both refer to him only as"Grandpa" in much the same way as the parents of most all comic strip characters -- like the Beano's Dennis the Menace, for example -- telephone one another"Mum" and"Dad". Much Grandpa's own sister, Great Aunt Loretta, just ever calls him"Grandpa".
