Gidget

Gidget is an American sitcom on a surfing, boy-crazy teen ager referred to as"Gidget" and her widowed father Russ Lawrence, a UCLA professor. Sally Field stars together with Don Porter as father Russell Lawrence as Gidget. The series was initially broadcast on ABC from September 1-5, 1965. Gidget was among the very first regularly scheduled color programs on ABC, but did poorly at the Nielsen ratings and was cancelled by the conclusion of its season.
