George and Mildred is actually a British sitcom produced by Thames Television that aired in 1976 to 1979. It starred Brian Murphy and Yootha Joyce within an married couple, George and Mildred Roper and was a spin-off from Man About the House. The series' assumption had George and Mildred leaving their apartment moving into your upmarket housing estate and depicted in Man About your house. Their coming horrifies their neighbour Jeffrey Fourmile, an estate representative who despairs that the Ropers' presence will devalue his home. Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer wrote it. Like most sitcoms of this afternoon, George and Mildred was turned into a film, which was focused on celebrity Yootha Joyce who died suddenly in 1980 as the throw was looking forward to recording a sixth show.
