Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th: The Series can be a American-Canadian horror tv show that ran for three seasons, from October 3, 1987 to May 26, 1990 from first-run syndication. The show follows owners of an antiques store and Ryan, Micki, and their helper, Jack Marshak, as they try to recover antiques, to put them into safety in the store's vault. Originally, the series was to be titled The 13th Hour, but producer Frank Mancuso, Jr. thought that this would turn off audiences and took the name Friday the 13th to deliberately draw audiences. Despite this name, the show does not have any story connections as Jason Voorhees does not create an appearance, nor does some personality connected to the films. Though when going to advertisement breaks on ITV it'd show the 13th: The sequence, it had been recorded as Fridays Curse on TV programs. The two show have several cast and team ties, yet. The show's producer, Frank Mancuso, Jr., was producer of the movie show from Friday the 13th Part 2 until the last installment written by Paramount. The show's star, John D. LeMay, went onto star in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, guest star John Shepherd played Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th: A New Start, and incident director David Cronenberg appeared in Jason X. Fred Mollin, Rob Hedden, and Tom McLoughlin worked behind the scenes of both series.
