ef: a tale of memories

On Christmas Eve, Hiro Hirono meets a girl. Hiro later finds out that Miyako goes to the exact identical school as he can and so they start going out together. This leaves Hiro's childhood friend, Kei Shind?, feel left out, so she strives to compete with Miyako for Hiro's affection, creating a love triangle. Meanwhile, Renji As? meets a woman named Chihiro Shind? at an abandoned railroad station. He learns that Chihiro suffers from a type of amnesia where her memory continues for only 1-3 hours. He also finds Chihiro's fantasy of writing a book, but she has never been able to meet this fantasy because of her problem. Renji subsequently decides to help her meet that fantasy.
