Don Matteo

Don Matteo is an Italian television show that has been broadcasting since 2000 on the channel of Italian television, Rai 1. Protagonist of the show is currently Father Matteo, a Catholic priest in a parish of the town of Gubbio, who's also known in investigating offense stories. Father Matteo can be really a honored and wise person who really manages to understand people's problems, and always appears to be prepared to help. Because of his charisma and positivity, he helps criminals on the way to redeeming and he convince them to confess their crimes and to just accept their own responsibilities. Comedian Nino Frassica portrays Lt. Antonio Cecchini, a middle aged carabineer who also appears to be Matteo's best friend. Cecchini is one of the principal co-protagonists and provides the comedy and comic relief from the collection. Other notable cast members comprise Flavio Insinna, who depicted Captain Flavio Anceschi from 2000 to 2006, Milena Miconi, who played Laura, also the mayor of Gubbio in addition to Anceschi's love interest and Simone Montedoro who has been playing the position of Captain Giulio Tommasi, successor to Anceschi, considering that the sixth season. The season of the show has been aired on Italian television.
