Do Not Adjust Your Set
Don't adjust your set! Is a tv show produced originally by Rediffusion, London, afterward, by the Deadly Thames Television for British commercial television station ITV out of 26 December 1967 to 14 May 1969. The series took its name by the message which was displayed when there was a problem with transmission.
It comprised looks of comedians and celebrities who became famous, such as Denise Coffey and David Jason. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, and eric Idle became associates of those Monty Python comedy troupe. It quickly acquired a cult crossover following one of adults, including Pythons John Cleese and Graham Chapman, although, originally conceived as a children's programme.
The Bonzo Dog Doodah Band played a song in each programme and Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band appeared. The artists appeared as extras in sketches. The programme included a collection of sketches, frequently bizarre and surreal, frequently satirical with a disjointed style which was to eventually become famous from the daring Monty Python's Flying Circus, which followed. At least 1 DNAYS sketch has been re used in Monty Python. Strange animations between sketches were crafted at the last episodes by the then-unknown Terry Gilliam, who also graduated to Python -- section of the"Christmas cards" animation re-appeared there at the"Joy for the World" segment.
