Defenders of the Earth

Defenders of our planet is an American animated television series manufactured in 1986, featuring characters out of three objects distributed by King Features Syndicate--Mandrake the Magician, The Phantom, and Flash Gordon . Supporting characters comprise their kids Rick Gordon, Jedda Walker, Kshin, Mandrake's assistant Lothar, along with Lothar's son L.J.. The series lasted for 65 episodes. There was additionally a brief comic book series published by Star Comics, produced by Gerry Conway, Ross Andru and John Romita, Sr.. The final credits charge Rob Walsh and Tony Pastor to the title music, and Stan Lee for the lyrics. The series was afterwards revealed in reruns on the Sci Fi Channel as part of Sci Fi Cartoon Quest.
