Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, often referred to as Captain Scarlet, is a 1960s British Science Fiction Tv Set produced by the Century 21 Productions company of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, John Read and Reg Hill. First broadcast on ATV Midlands from September 1967 it has since been transmitted into more than 40 additional countries, such as Australia, the USA, New Zealand and Japan. Collars are introduced as marionette puppets along with scale model sets and special effects within an filming technique which the Andersons termed"Supermarionation". This tech incorporated pre-recorded dialogue and multichannel motors as a means of synchronising the puppet motions. Set in 2068, Captain Scarlet presents the hostilities between Earth and also a race of Martians. The Mysterons declare war on Earth, sparking a sequence of reprisals which can be countered by Spectrum, a global security organisation after the city is attacked by astronauts on Mars. Spectrum boasts its agent, Captain Scarlet's abilities. Throughout the events of this pilot incident, vivid red accelerates the Mysteron healing capability of"retro-metabolism" and can be afterwards thought of as virtually"indestructible", having the ability to recover fully from injuries that could normally be fatal.
