Calvin and the Colonel

Calvin and the Colonel is a animated cartoon television series in 1961 roughly Colonel Montgomery J. Klaxon, also a shrewd fox and Calvin T. Burnside, a dumb bear. The lawyer was Oliver Wendell Clutch, that was a weasel. The colonel lived her sister Sue and Maggie Belle, who did not trust the colonel. Colonel Klaxon was in the real estate business, but consistently tried harsher strategies. The show was an animated movie of Amos'n' Andy [or, more or less,"Andy along with The Kingfish"] and included the voices of Freeman Gosden and Charles Correll from the radio series. The touchy issues that had led to the downfall of Amos'n' Andy were avoided by using critters. Because of low ratings, the show was cancelled after 2 months, but returned to finish the very first season contract.
