Bonekickers

Bonekickers was a BBC drama of a group of archaeologists, place at the fictional Wessex University. It conducted for one series and made its own début about 8. It had been composed by Life on Mars and Ashes. Michele Buck and Damien Timmer of both Mammoth Screen Ltd produced it and co-produced together using Monastic Productions. Bristol and archaeologist University academic Mark Horton acted while the show' archaeological adviser. Adrian Lester has described the programme as"CSI meets Indiana Jones [...] There's an element of the crime show, there's mathematics, conspiracy theories -- and there exists a large inherent mystery that goes throughout the whole six-episode series" Much of the show was filmed with areas such as the University of Bath campus, at the City of Bath, Somerset. Additional locations included 6 and Kings Weston House, Chavenage House for episodes 5 & Brean Down Fort and Sheldon Manor. On 21 November 2008 Broadcast magazine shown that the show would not be returning for a second series.
