Around the World in 80 Days
Round the World in 80 Days is a 1989 tv Eastmancolor miniseries originally aired on NBC. The production got three nominations for Emmy awards this year. The teleplay from John Gay is predicated on the Jules Verne book of the same name.
Starring Pierce Brosnan as Phileas Fogg, Eric Idle as Passepartout, Julia Nickson as Princess Aouda, along with Peter Ustinov as Detective Fix, the Mini Series featured several cameo appearances, such as Patrick Macnee, Simon Ward, along with Christopher Lee as members of the Reform Club, along with Robert Morley, who had a cameo at the 1956 film adaptation, along with Roddy McDowall seem as officials of the Bank of England. Other faces, imputed in more roles and as guest celebrities, comprise Jack Klugman, John Hillerman, Darren McGavin, Henry Gibson and John Mills.
A slightly different course travels than at the novel, and also the script creates contemporary actors area of the narrative who were not cited in the publication, such as Sarah Bernhardt, Louis Pasteur, Jesse James, Cornelius Vanderbilt and Queen Victoria.
