Arabian Nights

Arabian Nights is a 2000 American/British Mini Series, adapted from Sir Richard Francis Burton's translation of This medieval epic by Peter Barnes 1000 and One Nights. Mili Avital and Dougray Scott celebrity as Scheherazade and Shahryar respectively. Produced by Dyson Lovell and directed by Steve Barron, the serial was a broadcast over two nights to 30 April and 1 May 2000 on BBC One in the Uk and ABC at the USA and initially made by Hallmark Entertainment. The show is made up of five stories out of One Thousand and One Nights, which might be framed within a first time, maintaining that the conventional style of stories within stories that is synonymous with all the Nights. The show cast includes Andy Serkis, Rufus Sewell, Alan Bates, James Frain, John Leguizamo, Jason Scott Lee, Vanessa-Mae, Alexei Sayle, Jim Carter, and James Callis.
