Anzacs

Anzacs has been a 1985 5-part Australian miniseries set in World War I. The series follows the lives of a team of young men who enlist in 1914 at the 8th Battalion of the First Australian Imperial Force, fighting at Gallipoli in 1915, after which in the Western Front for the remainder of the war. It follows in the wake of like Breaker Morant, Gallipoli Australian Newwave war movies, and scattering The Lighthorsemen. Themes of these films include the identity, the increasing loss of innocence in warfare, such as mateship and larrikinism, and the continued arrival of age of the nation and its own soldiers.
