Anna Pihl
Anna Pihl is really just a Danish police drama. The show stars Charlotte Munck because the title character Anna Pihl, Peter Mygind, also Iben Hjejle as Mikala. Three seasons are produced, each having 10 episodes.
The series follows the personal and work life of Anna Pihl, a policewoman at the police station in Copenhagen. She is divorced, and lives at a flat shared with Jan her male friend, with her son, Mikkel. The series focuses on Fact and stories: it includes second to more realistic stuff, although it has suspense and action.
Besides Denmark, the show has been broadcast in Sweden, Iceland, Norway and Finland. Following the initial nine episodes of season 1 ), the series was cancelled due to low ratings Back in Germany. A latenight re run were only available in September 2008. Season one dipped in Australia and in Estonia on SBS One. Back in USA, Latin America and Portugal, Anna Pihl airs on Eurochannel.
The theme song for season 1 was"Crosshair" by Blue Foundation, while the theme song for seasons 2 and 3 had been"In the End I Started" by Swedish singer Maria Marcus and Dane Niels Brinck.
