Across the River to Motor City

Across the River into Motor City can be a television drama series, that aired on Citytv stations. November 22, 2007, it debuted. The series is all about an insurance investigator named Ben Ford that works the border in Detroit and Windsor. The narrative considers the changing allegiances and aspirations that straddle the Detroit/Windsor border, and part of the Canada/United States border. Benjamin Ford birthday happens to fall on a brand new day: November 22, 1963, the day of the Kennedy assassination. Coincidentally, it is also the day which his flight attendant girlfriend, Katie, disappears on a flight back in Dallas. The puzzle of what happened to her, and also why, consumes the life of Ben Ford. It eventually involves his mature daughter, Kathleen, when the body of Katie ends up. Family puzzles and intrigue play against a backdrop of a number of the events of Canadian and American heritage. The six-episode series was taken in the Ontario cities of Hamilton, Toronto, and Windsor, as well as at the United States. For Denis McGrath and Robert Wertheimer, 2008, Across The River To Motor City won an Screenwriting Award Back in April.
