13 Demon Street

13 Demon Street is a horror television series that aired in syndication between 1960 and 1959. Thirteen 25-minute episodes are made. Lon Chaney Jr. has been the host, showcasing every episode from his'home' at 13 Demon Street. Condemned for many offense, Chaney's purpose concerning the show' stories would be to convince audiences that the crimes presented inside them worse compared to, hence preventing him from his purgatory. This was hard for viewers but as the original crime of Chaney was never given. The series was originated from Curt Siodmak, who directed several episodes and wrote some of the scripts. He had written the 1941 film The wolfman of Chaney. Three episodes of this series were edited together to produce a feature called The Devil's Messenger, in which Chaney's personality was re configured as Satan himself. Chaney filmed new wraparound segments to connect with'The Photograph','the lady at the Glacier' and'Condemned in Crystal'. A number of the stories of the show have been derivative in nature. 'The Dark Hand','' by way of example, was modelled on The Hands of Orlac, while'The Photograph' is an upgraded version of this M R James narrative The Mezzotint.
