Linn da Quebrada is a black transwoman from impoverished peri-urban São Paulo. She's also a pop celebrity that raises her voice. Accompanied with her childhood friend and partner in crime, black transwoman and singer Jup do Bairro, her joys are just short of dazzling. Aided by extravagant costumes and plenty of twerking, her performances really are onslaughts of electro contrary to the whitened sex order and also the machismo of the funk scene of the country of Brazil. Moments show her side: the talk turns to poverty, racism and love as she showers with cooks or friends with her mother. She is shown by archive footage within the shape of home videos in intimate performances in a hospital during her own cancer treatment. We begin to realise that Linn uses nudity that is revolutionary as an effective way to undermine sex roles that are accepted.
