Lady in the Lake

Private detective Philip Marlowe is asked by way of a publishing officer, Adrienne Fromsett, to locate the wife writer Derace Kingsby, of her manager. She had delivered her husband a telegram saying she headed to wed Chris Lavery. Kingsby had recently seen Lavery from the neighbouring Bay City. His analysis is pursued by marlowe at the Kingsby's nearby cabin.
