Beyond a Reasonable Doubt
A newspaper publisher, wishing to show a factor about the lack of circumstantial evidence, talks his possible son-in-law Tom into a hoax in an effort to subject clumsiness of the city's hard-line district attorney. The plan is to have Tom plant hints leading to his arrest for killing a female bar dancer. As soon as Tom is found guilty, he is to reveal the setup and also degrade the DA.
