Ayla: The Daughter of War
Back in 1950, amidst the ravages of the Korean War, Sergeant Süleyman stumbles upon a half-frozen little girl, with no parents no help in sight. Fearful and on the verge of death, this woman catches the core of Süleyman, who risks his life to rescue , smuggling her to his Army base and out of harms way. Maybe not knowing her name and also not able to communicate with her, her Ayla is named by Süleyman, in reminiscence of the moon on the fateful night during which they met.
