Aufbruch in die Freiheit

Germany, 1971: Erika (Anna Schudt) is actually completely overwhelmed by her own work from the butchery of husband Kurt (Christian Erdmann), the instruction of three common children and additional obligations, which attracts the village existence, as her physician also disclosed that she's pregnant again. Another baby will be the last thing she needs now, and so she decides to drive for her sister Charlotte (Alwara Höfels) into Cologne and let the baby abortively secretly abort. Since there are complications through Erika and the surgery could be conserved, however, the issue is still learnt from by her husband. It comes to a massive dispute, in which another issue could be the future of kid Ulrike (Lene Oderich). Without further ado Erika subsequently packs her things and moves into Charlotte with her children. However, at some time when legislation makes her determined by her partner, she's denied a self-determined fresh start. Erika decides to take action to improve this. .
