And the Birds Rained Down

A photographer sparks toward a mysterious woods to find witness Boychuk and victim of the wonderful Fire which swept through Northern Ontario at the beginning of the 20th century. However, before she arrives, she learns that Boychuck has perished. Survivors of Tom, this long-ago fire and Charlie, two elderly men that have opted to live out their days at the woods, are introduced to Marie Desneige, whose 60-year institutionalization has fueled her passion. The photographer is discovering that Boychuck had been a painter, whose life's work was entirely motivated by the Great Fire. Whilst enticing us with the strange lives of those men of their 21, we are immersed by the narrative at a historical drama. Three men that, in picking liberty above all else, made a deal with death.
