Skavlan

Skavlan is a television talk show hosted by Norwegian author Fredrik Skavlan. It premiered on Sveriges Television at January 2009 in Sweden, and also the first guests were former Prime Minister of Sweden Göran Persson along with his spouse Anitra Steen. On 8 May 2009, it had been announced that Skavlan was revived for a second season. It was announced that the series would no longer just be manufactured by SVT in Sweden. Skavlan would be partially produced in Norway by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. The very first twelve episodes of the second season of Skavlan were made by SVT in Sweden, and also the remaining in Norway by NRK. Skavlan speaks his conversation is so subtitled in Swedish in Sweden, though the two languages are rather similar and intelligible. He tells them to let him understand if they do not understand what he is saying, if the men being interviewed by Skavlan are Swedish. Swedish novelist Jan Guillou has criticized SVT for sub-titling the app, saying"that there was no demand for it. In case the host was Danish, sub-titling might have been mandatory, but having a Norwegian host it can not make any sense"
