Around the World with Willy Fog

Fog is a cartoon adaptation of Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne. The cartoon was produced by Spanish studio BRB Internacional with animation by Western studio Nippon Animation. At precisely the same strand as the Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds of BRB, the characters are anthropomorphisms of various animals while the species are of greater variety. The center trio are typical felines being chased by three foes. Willy Fog is portrayed as a lion, even while Rigodon is in fact a cat and not just a lynx because of ears and his tail and Romy a panther. An English dub of this series has been led by Tom Wyner, which featured artists like Gregory Snegoff Cam Clarke, Steve Kramer and Mike Reynolds. As the series never achieved popularity within the USA, the English variant saw fame as it was broadcast on Children's BBC in the uk. While dubs gained the series fanbases in several countries the series was screened in 1984 in the UK and then on RTE in Ireland. The series aired on Japan's TV Asahi in 1987, by which it was titled Anime Around the World in 80 Days and was also called into Western.
